Ondo Shifts Focus from Traditional Chains to Execution Infrastructure
Instead of creating a new traditional blockchain, Ondo decided to address the greatest constraint in the modern cryptocurrency markets: execution.

Secure Hardware Enclaves (Trusted Execution Environments) are the basis of the system, which execute applications in isolation at the fast near-centralized exchange speeds.
Instead of all network participants verifying and copying all transactions, the network has a distributed set of attestors verifying that only code they approve of is running. These attestors also perform the important security tasks and confirm interactions on the public blockchains.

Ondo stressed the network is no longer used exclusively for derivatives trading. It will provide infrastructure for a variety of crypto-native financial products such as spot trading venues, lending protocols, structured products and tokenized asset markets.
Further, this company stated its plans to become more distributed, or decentralized, over time with expanded attestor participation, further onchain settlement capabilities, proof-of-stake security mechanisms, and more cryptographic proofs.
