Could a bursting artificial intelligence (AI) bubble set the stage for Bitcoin’s next parabolic rally? While a sharp sell-off in AI stocks might rattle traditional markets, CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju believes Bitcoin could emerge relatively unscathed, potentially benefiting as investors shift their attention and capital back to the leading cryptocurrency by market value.
Bitcoin To Escape AI Wreakage
A potential artificial intelligence (AI) bubble burst may not be the disaster for Bitcoin that some investors fear. CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju believes BTC could escape much of the fallout, arguing that the world’s largest cryptocurrency largely missed the AI-driven stock market rally.
“I don’t think an AI bubble burst would hurt BTC much,” Ju wrote in a recent post on the X social media site.
A bubble forms when asset prices surge far beyond what underlying fundamentals can justify, widening the gap between market expectations and reality. Eventually, that gap can become unsustainable, triggering a sharp correction when investor enthusiasm fades and valuations come under pressure.
The rapid rise of artificial intelligence has fueled one of the largest investment booms in recent tech history, drawing comparisons to the late-1990s dot-com frenzy. Tech giants are pouring hundreds of billions of dollars into data centers, advanced chips, and increasingly powerful AI models as they race to secure a leading position in the industry.
Ju’s reasoning centers on where investors have been putting their money. As AI-related stocks rocketed, some market participants may have sold their Bitcoin holdings to chase returns in the booming sector. If enthusiasm for AI stocks begins to fade, that capital could flow back into BTC.
“Now it may be time to rotate back into Bitcoin,” he added.
However, the CryptoQuant chief stopped short of suggesting that an AI market collapse would automatically trigger a Bitcoin rally. He cautioned against viewing the two assets as having a straightforward inverse relationship.
“AI crash isn’t necessarily bullish or bearish for BTC. They seem unrelated,” Ju said.
That distinction matters. A rotation from AI stocks into Bitcoin could support prices, but a broader market sell-off that drives investors away from riskier assets could also weigh on BTC. Any potential benefit would depend on whether capital actually moves into cryptocurrency rather than retreating to cash or safer investments.
Bitcoin traded near $80,648 on Wednesday, remaining largely unchanged over the week and sitting 35.3% below its October 2025 all-time high of $126,080, according to CoinGecko data.
