The update also broadens availability across ChatGPT. GPT-5.6 Sol now powers both Instant and deeper reasoning experiences for eligible ChatGPT users, allowing the model to automatically apply additional reasoning when handling more complex requests. Sol remains the flagship model for more advanced reasoning tasks, while Terra serves as a balanced option for everyday professional workloads.
