Beldex Introduces Confidential Assets for Privacy-Preserving Tokens on Testnet

Victoria, Mahe, Seychelles, October 6th, 2026, Chainwire

Beldex, a privacy-first Layer 1 blockchain, has introduced Confidential Assets, also known as Privacy Tokens, on its testnet. The implementation is being introduced through the Proto testnet hard fork, which goes live at testnet block height 4,242,200, enabling developers to deploy and test privacy-preserving tokens directly on the Beldex network ahead of a planned mainnet rollout.

With Privacy Tokens, projects will be able to issue their own private tokens on the Beldex blockchain, complete with built-in transaction confidentiality at the asset layer. At launch, this new feature will leverage Beldex’s UTXO-based architecture; the same unspent transaction output model that underpins the network’s native privacy features (including ring signatures and stealth addresses derived from Monero’s cryptography).

Chairman & CEO Afanddy Bin Hushni of Beldex, said: “For far too long privacy in Web3 continues to be an add-on feature that’s just attached. Privacy Tokens changes that, enabling any project to issue a token where sender, receiver, and amount are protected by default, on day one, without ever needing a separate privacy layer or workaround. This is true privacy-by-default cryptography, and we’re thrilled to finally roll it out for everyone.”

For users, this means that every token deployed through the system inherits transaction-level privacy by default: sender amounts, recipient addresses, and balances stay hidden from public view. EVM-based token deployment will be supported at a later stage, once Beldex introduces account-based addresses alongside its planned EVM sidechain. This phased approach enables the team to ship privacy first, then layer on EVM compatibility second. That way they don’t simply bolt privacy onto an inherently transparent framework.

Privacy Tokens arrive within an already functioning privacy ecosystem. Currently, Beldex is home to a suite of decentralized applications (dApps) including:

  • BChat, a metadata-free encrypted messenger
  • BelNet, a decentralized VPN routing traffic through masternodes
  • The Beldex Browser, which integrates AI tools and routes browsing through BelNet
  • The Beldex Wallet
  • The BNS Marketplace, a web-based decentralized marketplace accessible at bns.beldex.io

With Privacy Tokens, developers gain the ability to issue tokens that can plug directly into confidential dApps. A project could, for example, deploy its own privacy token on the Beldex network and build a separate privacy-first application around it. The token could serve as the application’s native asset for private payments, rewards, access, or other utility. Projects can begin building and testing on the Beldex Testnet, with a path toward deployment on mainnet.

Chief Strategy Officer Cris Blanco of Beldex, said: “Privacy Tokens lets developers build an entire application economy where privacy is the starting point. It isn’t just another token standard. Whether it’s a private DeFi protocol, a confidential rewards system, or a new dApp entirely that no one has previously imagined, these assets all inherit the same cryptographic guarantees that protect every BDX transaction on our network.”

Alongside the launch of Privacy Tokens, Beldex is also developing two key pieces of infrastructure: the Beldex Extension Wallet and a WebJS SDK. Together, these tools will allow web-based applications to connect with users’ Beldex wallets and interact with Privacy Tokens.

This enables dApps to request transfers, display balances, and integrate private tokens into application workflows without ever exposing sensitive transaction data. The Extension Wallet and SDK are designed to provide the developer experience needed to make Privacy Tokens practical, which helps bridge the divide between Beldex’s privacy infrastructure and the applications built on top of it.

The introduction of Privacy Tokens also lays the foundations for Beldex’s long-term plans. Once account-based addresses and the Beldex EVM sidechain go live, projects that initially deploy tokens on the UTXO layer will be able to migrate them into the EVM ecosystem — carrying their privacy properties forward. This feat sets Beldex as one of the few networks offering a credible and reliable path from UTXO-native privacy to EVM-compatible privacy tokens.

About Beldex

Beldex is a privacy-focused decentralized ecosystem building a privacy-first internet. It combines blockchain with privacy-preserving cryptography, helping safeguard users’ data, transactions, messages, and online activities.

BChat is an application for private messaging, BelNet is for decentralized routing, and the Beldex Browser is for private web access. It also has BNS, a decentralized naming system for registering and managing blockchain-based names.

In Beldex, users can stake their tokens to participate in the network’s security, while the network runs on a masternode network and Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus. The network utilizes the private digital currency, BDX, as a means of powering the ecosystem.

The project also remains active in developing and investigating new technologies in the realm of blockchain, like zero-knowledge systems, quantum-safe cryptography, privacy tokens, privacy-first EVM, and other advanced privacy-enhancing solutions, aiming to create a more secure and user-controlled digital environment.
